What an awesome function! The hospitality was great, the food
was tasty, and the ride was amazing!!! Met some great people (Jason, Darren,
Pat, Wayne, and various others from all over) and look forward to seeing
them there next year. It is truly astounding to see all those incredible
machines gathered in one spot. FNA. A huge thanks to Owen, all SBW staff,
and all sponsers for putting this wonderful event together. Thankyou to
Argyl Motorsports for the Bieffe Race Stand that I was fortunate to win
during the prize draws. My wife and I are there for 2002!

Each year I go the more fun I have. The people that I've met are a good group
because we have a common ground.....bikes. This years ride was great, new friends, more
organized, but the weather sucked(I know it's not your fault). I've been back one day and
I want to go back. I already booked the time off for next year. Owen, I know you tried to
control the hooligans, but don't take it personally, you tried. See you next year, Rob.

It was just a HOOT! Even though I rode a cruiser then, I
had a ball, and got to discuss with people about sportbykes for a shortie
like me.
Kirk and I enjoyed the Poker Rallye, the partying, and
the camaderie with so many people who share this passion of motorcycling.
On our home page are some SBW pics, address is: http://members.home.net/kirkr/

As it turns out, my job with Honda Canada has transferred
me to Toronto and I am not going to be here for SBW 01. Chances are,
I'll miss the next few as well. Of all the things, people & events
I'll miss about the Coast, I can honestly tell you SBW is very close
to the top of the list.
Owen - Keep doing what you're doing if at all possible. Keep a lasso
on the crazies. You've done as much or more for Motorcycling - single
handed - than any other individual in the Province...maybe the country.
All the best - Pete

Hi all, I just wanted to shout out to all you folks from
Calgary, who plan to attend the SBW 2001. I am new to Calgary (from
the East Coast) and I am interested in attending the 2001 SBW. Unfortunately
I don't know if alot of people go from Calgary, and I would like to
hook up with some folks from here to travel with, as it no fun showing
off if nobody's lookin'. Anyhow I'm looking for a traveling pack to
join, as I don't know what exactly to expect at this SBW 2001. Looking
for some info and advice. Can't wait to attend! Ohh yeah and all you
Calgary bikers,...Get a formal meeting place or webpage! Later Kris

Only one week to go and the anticipation is tremendous. Went last year for
the first time and had a blast. I'm from the land of the flat and boring (Calgary), so a ride
through the Rockies is always a blast. Last year I was on an '89 Ninja 600 but this year I'm
pumped about being on a true race replica (ZX-7) to see how far I can push the thing.
I'm bringing down a buddy from Edmonchuk (on a YZF 1000) and its his first ride in the
mountains. He's pretty stoked about coming. Should be fun. I'd like to send a shout out to
my boys in Calgary, Dustin and Aubrey. See you there. Also Owen, awesome job last year!
Keep up the good work. We appreciate all the hard work you do to put this thing on.
My summer just wouldn't be the same without it. Later, Electric Curtis

Every year this is the pinnacle of the sport biking season and most of our group
at "285 Squadron" feel like 6 year old kids on Christmas eve. Owen you and your family
continue to do an outstanding job of getting this organized every year. It truly is "THE" event
to attend if you are into sportbike and the crazy people who ride them.

- Brian Norrie
Ride: 1999 Kawasaki ZX9R

I was told of this event in 1999 and was interested at first.
Now I'm living in an area of the province that makes it easier to actually
experience the Rally. Hopefully the work schedule will let me attend.
Great work on all of your efforts. With a little luck the 'nina and

Let me know what I can do to help get SBW to the Merritt
venue. I'm the Regional District Director for the area!! Great ideas
deserve major support!

- Mike Rose
Ride: Various Suzukis......

I've heard this event mentioned periodically in the bike
circles here in the lowermainland over the last few years. We've had
quite a large group of riders assemble annually here in the Fort Langley
area, and none of us have been to SBW that I know of. I am curious as
to how you control the 'squids' that seem to always put a damper on
sportbike events. We will come check it out this year. Check out http://members.attcanada.ca/~gewasiuk/sportbikes.htm
in the meantime, to see what we've been up to...
:)
See you soon! I'm anticipating a good time up there, after reading all
these positive comments.
Cheers.
